I enjoy composing music in every genre, and always strive to use sound in new ways that still feel warm and approachable. A typical week in my role at WNYC Studios may call for a slapstick comedy sequence on Monday, a naturalistic underwater soundscape on Tuesday, and original music from disco to trap to garage rock to neoclassical Wednesday through Friday.
Along with my work in radio, I collaborate in film, music, art installation and live performance. I created the scoring and sound design for Wil-O-Wisp (2018), an immersive video installation by artist Rachel Rose presented by the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Turin, Italy. I mixed and produced recent releases from the bands smalltalker and Long Facade, as well as live sessions for the Blue Room video series from the music blog Thrdcoast. I also make silly dance mixes from time to time!
